AI Players does not use generative AI; instead, it uses a similar AI system to the one other mobs in Minecraft use. It all runs in-game, so you don’t have to worry about scary data centres or the impact on your local energy grid.
Does this work offline?
AI Players works even when you aren’t connected to the internet. Of course, you need an internet connection to download the product, but if you are reading this, you’ve probably figured that out.
What can AI Players do?
AI Players can do lots of things, including mining, hunting, fighting monsters, and crafting weapons and armour. They can’t build complex structures, but they can make bridges and pillars to reach hard-to-reach areas while exploring or mining. You can assign them a home, which you can learn more about below.

AI Players usually focus on their own goals. If you pay attention to an AI Player, it’ll take interest in you, start following you, and mimic what you do. Jump, sneak, or emote near an AI Player!
How do I get an AI Player to stop what it is doing?
If you give an AI Player a friendly punch, they’ll stop their current task and leave you alone for a little while.
How do I assign an AI Player a home?
Use the Admin Panel on a bed to mark it as an AI Player’s home. Place a chest nearby so they have somewhere to store their items. While at home, they will use nearby chests, crafting tables, and furnaces.
