Members of Team Sonic are unlocked after you craft a Select Screen. With enough rings, you can unlock character lives, which allow you to transform into different members of Team Sonic. This guide provides an overview of each character, their main abilities, and how many rings one of their lives costs.

Configurable Settings
From the “Technical” section of the onboarding book, you can find toggles to enable or disable parts of gameplay while you're transformed as a Sonic character.
- Break blocks from running: Determines whether Sonic characters break blocks like flowers or leaves while sprinting.
- Break blocks from abilities; Determines whether Sonic characters break blocks using the charge abilities.
- Passive Mob damage: Determines if Sonic characters can harm passive mobs.
